Snowflake Character Study

ok guys, a couple of days ago I got a request by tofazz asking for snowflake and flutters, and even though I am totally FlutterMac, I discovered by this small ask that I am a FlutterFlake fan too.

drawing Snowflake for the first time in my style was hard, I wanted to give him my personal signature, but at the same time I wanted to keep his essence, Resulting in the fact that I left his wings small.

I really do not know why, but this lead me to think about a proper back story for this character. After all, he should receive the same respect and care I give to my other characters both original and slightly modified versions of the ones from the show.

So this is what I did today while I layed in bed cussing and complaining about my cramps, sorry for the letters jammed up with the drawings, it was to late when I noticed.

SOOOOOO. Snowflake, Bulk Biceps character story.

young Bulk was nicknamed Snowflake by his family, since he was very plump and had white fur. He used to be very shy and sensitive because of the constant teasing and bullying he received at school. This is because of the fact that his wings, never developed properly. Also because of his blood red eyes.

For reason I didn’t specify, he started to gain confidence when he discovered he had an natural strength no pegasi possessed. knowing that no matter what he did his wings would stay the same, he decided to train the rest of his body, mainly with heavy lifting, soon the bullying and the teasing stopped.

On the contrary of most ponies thought, he never became the bully. The reason for his training was not to look for pay back for the ones who made him suffer, but to build confidence and inner strength. No matter how big or strong, he always remained the shy, goofy and silly bulky stallion.

The relationship with Fluttershy, I leave it between a possible thing and a very nice friendship. They understand each other very well because they know what they had gone through with their inner fears and insecurities.

Snowflake can fly, yes, as stated by the show. But he can only do it properly if he takes off from a high location, taking off from the ground is extremely difficult for him. Even if he flies, he can’t keep much speed for a long time, this causes too much stress for his tiny wings and is very painful for him, of course, having worked out his body to that extent does not help his wings either.

Snowflake’s cutie mark does not literally represent the fact that he can lift heavy weight, it also represents the strong and heavy will power he shaped and molded through his life.

being confident and strong, does not mean you can’t be sensitive or goofy.

Like my friend bulk here, you can be the strongest pony and still be scared of butterflies or balloons, but that doesn’t make you weak.
